The US Coast Guard seized narcotics worth half a billion dollars in 14 operations in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

Crew from the Cutter Stone vessel offloaded the 45,600 pounds of contraband worth a staggering 517.5 million USD, at Port Everglades in Florida.

Footage shows Coast Guard crews dropping off the narcotics haul seized in international waters in the Pacific on March 20.

Captain Jonathan Carter, commanding officer of Stone, said: 'I'm incredibly proud of our crew's performance and their efforts to combat narco-terrorism this deployment.

'In one exceptional case, the crew interdicted four go-fast vessels in 15 minutes, seizing nearly 11,000 pounds of cocaine that will never be mixed with deadly fentanyl to threaten American lives here at home.'

Police said that 35 suspected smugglers were also detained and transferred ashore to face charges in US courts.
