A hero cop rowed through a swollen river to rescue horses trapped in floods in Kazakhstan.

Police inspector Beksultan Qylyshbaev responded to the scene after receiving a request for help from villagers in the Aktobe Region, on March 18.

Melting snow in the area had caused a river to burst its banks, leaving the horses stranded in high waters.

Footage shows Beksultan and the horses' owner rowing on a rubber boat across the deluge. They successfully rounded up the farm animals and guided them to the riverbank after four hours.
