Wildfire debris was removed from the beach in Malibu.

Contractors from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were dispatched for the clean-up operation along the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu on March 24.

Authorities partnered with federal, state, and local agencies to clear wildfire ash and waste from nearly 13,600 homes.

Highly destructive fires impacted California in January.

The Palisades Fire is said to be the largest wildfire in the region, having scorched over 23,700 acres since it erupted on January 7 in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, killing at least 12 people.

Reports stated that the Palisades Fire was declared fully contained on January 31.

The Eaton Fire also began on January 7 and burned more than 14,000 acres after burning for 24 days, killing 17 people.
