The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,695, with 115,338 injured, following nearly 18 months of Israeli military operations since October 7, 2023, said Gaza health authorities on Sunday. In the past 24 hours, Israeli military operations have killed 26 people and wounded 113 others in Gaza, the health authorities said. Since Israel resumed its military operations in Gaza on March 18, following the collapse of a ceasefire, 1,335 Palestinians have been killed and 3,297 injured, according to the health authorities. In a statement released on Sunday, the media office in Gaza raised the death toll during the past 20 days to 1,350, with 490 being children. The media office accused Israel of carrying out systematic massacres against Gazan civilians, particularly children, in another serious crime the Israeli army has committed in its ongoing "genocide war". Israel, the United States, and other countries involved in the military operations bear full responsibility for the continued killing, the statement said, calling on the international community to immediately stop this atrocity.
