US, Bakersfield: Edwards Kern County Structure Fire With 10 Trapped Possible Multiple Fatals
Bakersfield, United States - April 10, 2025 04/10/2025 12:12 am (GMT-0800) Edwards Kern County – A structure fire broke out at 18280 Clay Mine Road in Edwards at 12:12 AM, with the building completely consumed by flames and 10 individuals possibly trapped inside. Emergency responders from California City, Edwards, and Kern fire departments swiftly responded to the scene to combat the blaze and initiate rescue operations. Initial radio traffic indicated that 3 juveniles escaped, while the remaining individuals were unaccounted for. Neighbors reported off-camera that the husband and 3 older children managed to escape, but the mother and 3 to 4 younger children remained trapped inside. No further details are available at this time.
