Superheroes carrying gifts abseiled into a children's hospital in Israel.

Skiers dressed as defenders surprised patients at Schneider Children's Medical Center, part of the Clalit group, in Petah Tikva on March 10, during the Purim holiday.

Footage shows the gift-givers descending from the building rooftop with rappelling gear, making their way to the young patients.

Each child had the opportunity to pose for photos with various costumed characters, including Batman, Spider-Man, and Deadpool.

This year, the volunteers working with the Our Children Foundation included fighters from the Yamam, Israel's elite counter-terrorism unit.

The event was dedicated to the memory of all the Yamam Monkey Team commanders who were killed during the Iron Swords War, including Chief Inspector Alexey Shamkalov, Chief Inspector Mosheal Shlomo, and Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora.

Purim is a Jewish holiday celebrating the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia, as told in the Book of Esther. It is observed by reading the Megillah, giving charity, exchanging food gifts, feasting, and wearing costumes.
