Demonstrators rallied in the Odenplan area, highlighting Israel’s blockade on humanitarian aid and the deepening humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Carrying banners against Zionism, US involvement in the Middle East, and the ongoing war, protesters marched toward the Swedish Foreign Ministry to demanding international action. Swedish officials have expressed concern over the worsening humanitarian situation, urging immediate access for food and aid deliveries to Gaza. Israel has killed nearly 51,500 Palestinians in Gaza since a cross-border attack by Hamas in October 2023. The UN has warned that the entire Gaza Strip, home to over 2 million people, could soon face famine as aid kitchens are expected to fully run out of food. Israel’s blockade since March 2 has prevented the entry of food, fuel, and medicine into the enclave for two months. Writing by Aleyna Cil
