Motorway toll gate roof collapses amid heavy rain in India
A motorway toll gate roof collapsed amid heavy rain in India, causing panic among motorists and disrupting traffic.
The incident was triggered by a freak weather at the Duddeda toll plaza in the Siddipet district of Telangana on Sunday, May 4.
Footage shows metal sheets scattered across the ground, with the affected ceiling visible in the video clip.
A police spokesman said: 'There were no vehicles at the toll plaza when the roof collapsed.'
No one was injured in the incident. However, traffic was halted on the busy highway as debris obstructed the road.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for several districts in Telangana, warning of thunderstorms and lightning. The warning remains in effect until May 7.
