Driver busted when police spot pet raccoon holding her METH PIPE
A driver was arrested when police spotted her pet raccoon holding a meth pipe.
Officers pulled over the suspect in Springfield, Ohio, when the vehicle registration flagged that she had a suspended license.
Bodycam footage shows officers questioning Victoria Vida, 55, while explaining the details of her case on May 5
The Township Police Department reported that officers pulled over a vehicle, whose owner, Victoria, 55, had a suspended licence and an active warrant.
But one eagle-eyed cop noticed a raccoon named Chewy sitting in the vehicle's front seat with a meth pipe in his mouth.
Authorities immediately searched the car allegedly found a bulk of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and three used meth pipes.
Chewy appeared unharmed, and animal control officers were contacted to determine whether Victoria was legally permitted to keep it. The outcome of that investigation has not yet been confirmed.
Victoria was charged with third-degree felony possession of drugs, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and cited for driving under suspension.
She was later handed over to Cuyahoga Falls Police on the outstanding warrant, with further charges for crack cocaine possession expected to be brought before a grand jury pending laboratory results.
