This is the dramatic moment a house was uprooted by a storm sweeping through northeast Thailand.

Footage shows strong gusts ripping the roof off a rural home as dark storm clouds blanketed the sky in Sisaket on May 12 afternoon.

The whirlwind swept zinc sheets, tree branches, and debris swirled into the air, terrifying drivers who waited for the gales to die down before passing.

Onlooker Suphakorn said: 'A tornado hit Ban Non Lat village this afternoon. It was very scary.'
