A newlywed couple on the way to their honeymoon hotel managed to rescue a kitten from a busy interstate in Arizona.

The filmer said: "The morning after our wedding, on our way to our honey moon hotel, my husband spotted a something on the side of the interstate. He slowed down immediately and pulls off the road.

"He is running far because we had been going so fast. He is breathless as he approaches the car. There is something in his arms... It is a fluffy white kitten. It is smaller than my hand. It is bleeding from its mouth and breathing rapidly. She is hot to the touch. Her eyes can barley open.

"She was bleeding and hyperventilating. She was no bigger than the palm of my hand. We take her to the vet, and then take her with us on our honeymoon at the Ritz Carlton where I carry her around in my purse."
