Phoenix, United States - May 23, 2025 05/23/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the northwest lanes of Grand Avenue near 24th Drive around 1:00 a.m. Officers arrived to find an unidentified pedestrian down in the roadway. Phoenix Fire Department crews arrived at the scene and transported the pedestrian to a local trauma center. The patient's condition has yet to be confirmed. Officers have yet to confirm if the involved driver remained at the scene; however, there is no sign of any involved vehicles within the established crime scene. A closure has been established for the northwest lanes of Grand Avenue while officers investigate the incident. All northwest traffic is being diverted onto northbound 24th Drive.
