US, Phoenix: Phoenix Buckeye Road Vehicle Vs Pedestrian Collision
Phoenix, United States - January 12, 2026 01/12/2026 05:15 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police officers and Phoenix fire crews responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Buckeye Road, east of 27th Avenue. Crews arrived to find an unresponsive pedestrian in the westbound lanes of Buckeye Road. A blue Ford sedan struck the pedestrian. According to officers at the scene, the pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries. Phoenix police established a hard closure for Buckeye Road, spanning 15th Avenue to 27th Avenue. Officers were standing by for an update from hospital staff. Once an update is provided, officers will determine if the incident will be handled by patrol resources or Vehicular Crime Unit detectives.
