Passenger pinned down by cops after airport check-in meltdown
A passenger was pinned down by police during an airport check-in meltdown in Singapore.
The 42-year-old female traveller was arrested after allegedly directing verbal abuse at staff on the evening of Friday, June 6.
Police arrived at the Changi Airport Terminal 1 after receiving a request for assistance and found the individual visibly distressed at the self-service check-in area.
Dramatic footage shows uniformed personnel restraining the woman on the carpeted floor as fellow passengers watch the scene unfold.
Eyewitnesses said she was later seen being escorted away in handcuffs. The entire ordeal lasted approximately 10 minutes.
Local media reported that the woman had been seen striking the check-in kiosks before security staff intervened.
Authorities confirmed that an investigation is underway.
