This is the shocking moment a pensioner fell backwards as she walked across a metal grille to a cafe.

The elderly woman and her daughter were walking toward the Yanjai Cafe when she lost her footing in the bars, laid across the kerb for motorcycles, and tumbled to the ground.

CCTV footage shows the aged lady lurching back and dropping onto a black parked motorcycle before plunging onto the clothesline rack placed outside on April 15 in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand.

Apichai Pornwiwatsuk, an employee at the restaurant, immediately sprinted out of the shop upon seeing the elderly customer on the ground.

He then helped her carefully stand up while her daughter also assisted her.

The concerned man then asked if she was hurt and checked her condition. She did not sustain any injuries from the incident.

Apichai Pornwiwatsuk said: 'That day, an elderly woman came with her family to have bingsu at our shop. I had been watching her from the moment she crossed the street toward the shop, so I saw the whole thing happen and quickly rushed over to help her up in time.

'What really touched me was that the next morning, she came back to see me and brought a big bouquet of fresh flowers to personally thank me. She said she was in shock yesterday and didn't get a chance to say thank you, so she wanted to come express her gratitude in person. It was incredibly sweet of her.'
