Los Angeles, United States - June 25, 2025 06/25/2025 12:06 am GMT-0700 SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles firefighters and police responded to a reported crash involving a vehicle on fire and people trapped inside. Firefighters arrived and found a black sedan that had crashed through a K-rail, blocking a dead-end street. The sedan was on its side. Firefighters used a dry chemical fire extinguisher to extinguish the flames. LAFD paramedics evaluated a male occupant at the scene. While being assessed, the man unexpectedly jumped out of the ambulance and walked away from the location. LAPD officers arrived but were unable to locate the driver. Authorities noted that if the fence had not stopped the vehicle, it would have plunged over a 50-foot cliff into the ocean below. The crash occurred near the intersection of 40th Street and Pacific Avenue in San Pedro shortly after midnight.
