A cyclist with a giant modified bike left road users baffled.

Nika Corral and her family were on their way home from a vacation when they spotted an elderly man pedalling along the roadside in Bicol, the Philippines.

Footage shows the man, named Benito, wearing a helmet while seated on the 6ft tall customised yellow bike adorned with four Philippine flags on June 22.

The cheerful pensioner can be seen waving at passing vehicles as he enjoys the breeze along the highway.

Locals said Benito has been cycling across Albay, covering the roughly 110-kilometre distance from Naga City to Libon on his eye-catching ride.

However, some concerned motorists expressed worry over the cyclist's safety, especially on highways where he could be at risk of road accidents.
