On July 2, in Hunchun, Jilin Province, Mr. Zhou was driving along National Highway 331 in Yanbian when a wild Amur tiger suddenly burst out of the nearby forest and ran into the middle of the road. Other vehicles and several motorcyclists were also on the road at the time, and the unexpected sight left Mr. Zhou shocked.

According to Mr. Zhou, the tiger initially darted back into the woods after seeing the cars, but just a few seconds later, it reemerged and began wandering in the middle of the road.

Another witness, Mr. Liu, said that while he was riding his motorcycle, the tiger suddenly leapt out from the roadside, coming within 20 metres of him before retreating back into the forest. About five seconds later, it came back out again.

Staff from the Hunchun Wildlife Protection Association explained that National Highway 331 runs adjacent to the Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park. The stretch of road where the tiger appeared lies within a nature reserve. However, they noted there’s little danger as long as people remain in their vehicles, as Amur tigers generally do not attack cars.

7月2日，吉林珲春，市民周先生在延边331国道上乘车行驶时，一只野生东北虎突然从旁边的树林里冲向了道路中间，当时路上还有其他车辆以及几位摩托车骑手，这突如其来的一幕把周先生吓了一跳。

周先生介绍，老虎一开始看到车辆后迅速窜进树林，几秒后又窜出来在马路中间游荡。

另一位目击者刘先生介绍，自己骑摩托车自驾时，路边突然窜出一只东北虎，双方相距不到20米时，老虎随后跑回了树林中，但约5秒后，老虎又从树林中窜了出来。

珲春市野生动植物保护协会工作人员表示，311国道旁就是东北虎豹国家公园，该东北虎出没的路段在自然保护区范围内，但只要不下车就没什么影响，东北虎一般不会攻击车辆。
