This is the amusing moment a pet cat was spotted lounging on a sofa like a human, as if unwinding in front of the TV after work.

Footage captured by pet owner Janine Alderete shows Clinton, the half-Persian feline, relaxing on the couch in the living room in Manila, the Philippines.

The seven-year-old tabby, frozen in place, mimicked the pose of Janine's father, Almario Dela Cruz, who was resting on another chair nearby on July 15.

Almario can be seen with his legs bent to the side, his head resting on one arm, and his other hand placed casually on his thigh, relaxing after a long day.

Meanwhile, Clinton, lying belly-up in the exact same position, glared at Janine as if annoyed at being interrupted.

Janine said: 'One night, I came home from school and, as usual, was about to greet my father. But then I saw something that made me stop and laugh. Our cat was in the living room, sitting the exact same way as my dad, both just quietly watching a movie like it was their bonding time.

'It was such a cute and funny moment. I couldn't help but take out my phone and start recording. Honestly, it looked like they had planned a movie night together.'
