Locals carry motorcycles through surging river
This is the nerve-wracking moment locals carried motorcycles through a surging river.
Footage captured by Gwen Villanueva shows men placing bamboo poles through the wheel rims of the vehicles before lifting it in Occidental Mindoro, the Philippines.
The group carefully waded through knee-deep murky water while balancing the 220 lb (100 kg) two-wheeler on their shoulders on July 23.
Gwen said: 'We had to pay 350 PHP (approximately 4.54 GBP) per vehicle for them to carry it across the river.
'The bridge was still under construction and too dangerous to cross, so the locals had to take the water route.'
