Rescue team captures 15ft python that ate four ducks
This is the dramatic moment a rescue team caught a 15ft python that ate four ducks at a farm in Thailand.
Snake wranglers were called to the home in Lampang after alarmed residents discovered the serpent curled up in the duck enclosure on July 24.
Footage shows personnel dragging the ravenous reptile, its belly bulging from its last meal, out into the open. The creature stretched open its jaws in a threatening display, despite being unable to move.
The team spent around 15 minutes trying to lift the hefty reptile, which weighed whopping 90 pounds (41 kilos).
The snake was later released back into the wild, while the homeowner warned other residents to secure their animal pens to keep their livestock safe.
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
