This is the heartwarming moment a kind grandfather cleaned a car's windows at a petrol station.

Natasha was paying for her fuel at the counter when she noticed the elderly worker, 66, wiping the rear window of her white hatchback in Singapore.

Touching footage shows the pensioner carefully sliding a squeegee across the glass and brushing off the excess soap with a microfiber cloth on July 31.

Natasha, the car owner, said: 'I was surprised to see an old man wiping my car windows. It only happened briefly, but it was late at night and a really touching moment.'

Weijie, the pensioner's son, explained that his father is already retired but wanted to stay active, so he took up the job.

He said: 'His retirement sum is already met, so he can actually relax and go to the coffeeshop but he just wants to be active.'

Singapore has one of the fastest-ageing workforces in the world, with more older residents continuing to work well past retirement age. The country also ranks among the highest globally for senior employment, even when compared with other developed nations.
