A zany pilot on a Jet2 flight from Menorca to the UK had passengers in hysterics with a hilarious speech and in-flight messages.

The kooky captain made fun of his co-pilot and cabin crew, joked about playing Jumanji in the cockpit, invited travellers to wave their safety cards in the air and comically detailed the route from the Balearics to East Midlands Airport during his lengthy address on the plane’s PA system.

He also name checked Jess Glynne as the plane landed, telling passengers: “I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Jet2 Jess Glynne holiday!”

Passengers responded by giving him a hearty round of applause after his opening speech on August 19.

Passenger Amy Byers, 37, from Burton-on-Trent, said: “He was brilliant, so funny. I’ve never heard a pilot joke around like that before.”
