"Today we are witnessing a devastating tragedy from Gaza, a calamity that has struck every part and turned the entire region into a battlefield of blind destruction. This war has spared no one and nothing—neither human beings, nor stones, nor trees. The consequences have, of course, become ever more complex. I call upon the nations of the world to rise in defense of humanity and life itself, for every person with a human conscience, for the Arab and Islamic nations, and for all of Islam, so that this raging fire, which has consumed all possibilities and all capacities, may be extinguished, and so that Palestine may feel relief."

GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - AUGUST 29: Residents of the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip staged a protest march on Friday, Aug. 29, demanding an immediate halt to the Israeli military offensive as humanitarian conditions reach a critical state.
The demonstration took place amid ongoing intense bombardment and escalating threats of a ground invasion into Gaza City. Protesters were heard chanting slogans condemning Israeli policies, which they described as "displacement and starvation."
The protest occurred against a backdrop of a severe humanitarian collapse, with sources on the ground reporting a rise in fatalities due to famine and malnutrition. Participants appealed to the international community for urgent intervention to stop the war and avert a worsening disaster.
"We call upon all Arab countries, Islamic countries, and the free people of the world to unite and move towards the Security Council and the United Nations in order to issue an enforceable resolution that would stop this humanitarian massacre," one protester, Taysir Abdel Jawad, told Anadolu Agency. "Humanity is being slaughtered in Gaza and freedom is being killed in Gaza."
Another demonstrator Hatem Al-Salahat, speaking at the rally, described the situation as a "devastating tragedy."
"This war has spared no one and nothing—neither human beings, nor stones, nor trees," he said. "I call upon the nations of the world to rise in defense of humanity and life itself... so that this raging fire may be extinguished."
According to medical sources, the overall Palestinian death toll in Gaza has reached 63,025 since the war began in October 2023, with the majority reported to be women and children. The number of injured has risen to 159,490.
These figures are considered incomplete, with many victims believed to be trapped under rubble and beyond the reach of rescue teams.
Furthermore, medical sources confirmed that since the breakdown of a ceasefire and the resumption of intense hostilities on March 18, 2025, at least 11,178 civilians have been killed and 47,449 injured.
