This is the heartwarming moment a kind driver gave a ride to an elderly couple who were travelling 350 miles on a motorcycle.

Passerby Namphueng Pimngam spotted the pensioners when their rusty sidecar broke down midway through the journey in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.

The pair, Patarin Sapcharoen and her disabled husband, Somkiat Ngamchit, told the trucker they had left Udon Thani province and were heading to Bangkok.

Compassionate Namphueng realised the elderly couple was stranded and in need, so commandeered a two truck to make sure they reached their destination safely.

Footage shows the wagon carefully manoeuvring in the outer lane of the highway while Patarin stands beside her partner on August 30.

In another clip, the senior citizens and their three-wheeler are lifted onto the flatbed platform, with Namphueng and the officer supporting both them and the vehicle.

They can be seen standing still, with Somkiat seated in his wheelchair, before the motorcycle and wheelchair are secured with straps to prevent them from falling.

Namphueng said: 'We went to help tow the vehicle free of charge and took it to be repaired. It brings us joy to help them as best we can, and we made sure they reached their destination.'
