This is the heroic moment firemen rescued a litter of frightened kittens stranded on a roof under the scorching heat.

Residents called the Bomba fire and rescue team to save seven baby cats enduring 32 degrees Celsius weather in Perak, Malaysia.

Footage captured by Ridhuan Abdullah shows a firefighter gently lifting the kittens from the skylight sill and placing them into a white bucket on September 2.

In another clip, a rescuer can be seen holding and petting a Calico kitten while its siblings rest quietly inside the container.

Ridhuan said: 'The cats are healthy and are being well cared for by the house owner. We are glad we managed to rescue them in time, otherwise they could have become dehydrated in the heat.'
