This is the shocking moment a rider discovered a python slithering over his motorcycle.

Chukiat Phoodproa was driving out to fish in the middle of the night when he spotted a snake on his vehicle in Trang Province, Thailand, on November 28.

Footage shows the 7ft python coiling around the motorbike with its engine still on.

Chukiat attempted to carefully poke the reptile to make it to move away from the vehicle. The snake later left on its own.

Chukiat said: 'I parked my motorcycle to go fishing, but when I returned, I saw a snake crawling up on the motorcycle, which had fish in the basket. Maybe it was trying to eat some before I caught it.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
