Authorities confirmed that all four occupants including the crew were dead.

The victims of the PK-IWS helicopter crash in the Jila Mountains were transported to Mozes Kilangin Airport in Timika.

The recovery operation involved Timika SAR teams, the Indonesian Air Force, Army, Police, and PT Intan Angkasa, using helicopters PK-IWD and PK-IWU, with aerial security provided by a TNI AU Caracal helicopter.
