The plane crash in Papua, Indonesia left people in an uproar
A plane crash occurred in Tiom District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains Province, Indonesia, on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
A charter Cessna Grand Caravan EX belonging to Smart Cakrawala Aviation, flight number PK-SNA, skidded and crashed at Tiom Airport, Lanny Jaya Regency, at around 9:00 a.m. local time.
Fortunately, there were no fatalities in the incident. The cause of the crash and the skidding is not yet known.
The Lanny Jaya Police Chief, Police Commissioner Nursalam Saka, confirmed the incident and confirmed no fatalities.
"Yes, the incident is true, and there were no fatalities. We and relevant authorities are still investigating the cause of the skid and crash," said Police Commissioner Nursalam Saka.
