During the confrontation, the suspect was shot in the leg. The incident occurred in an alley behind a location on the 2400 block of Malabar Street, where a firearm was recovered at the scene. The area will remain closed for an undetermined duration while investigators examine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No officers were injured in the incident.
