This is the shocking moment a motorcycle passenger's helmet toppled off her head.

Ezra Lona Salonga and her boyfriend were on their way to a school in Cebu, the Philippines, when they saw the pillion rider's headgear suddenly fall off in front of them.

Dashcam footage shows the blue helmet dropping onto the asphalt and rolling across their car's lane from the impact on September 18.

Ezra's partner quickly swerved to avoid crashing into the item.

Moments later, the motorcycle rider pulled over on the roadside near the woman's destination.

Ezra said: 'My boyfriend and I were startled as the helmet rolled under our vehicle and made a loud sound. It is possible that the helmet was not properly locked, or that it fell due to the driver's sudden acceleration while overtaking us.

'We approached the driver and passenger to inform them about what happened, but they did not listen or pay attention to us. To avoid any confrontation, we decided to leave the scene.'
