A kitten’s head became trapped between iron gate bars, leaving it in distress as it struggled helplessly. Firefighters rushed to the spot, swiftly using a cutter to slice the grill, ultimately freeing the frightened animal and ensuring its safe rescue.

The incident took place in Malappuram district, in southern India’s Kerala, on September 9.

Visuals show that a kitten got its head stuck between the bars of an iron gate, causing it to struggle in pain. Fire officials quickly arrived and used a cutter to cut through the iron grill. Eventually, the kitten was rescued safely.

Speaking to Newslions, Sanu Nair, Fire Department, Malappuram, Kerala, stated that this incident happened at the house of a person named Ibrahim. He said that a cat’s head had gotten stuck in the iron gate of his house. They received a call from that house at around 7 in the morning, so they went there.

Upon arrival, they saw that the kitten’s head was stuck between an iron grill. They used a hydraulic cutter to spread the iron grill, which allowed the cat to free its head and walk away on its own.
