This is the disgusting moment police fished meth pills out of a septic tank after an alleged drug user tried to dispose of them in the toilet.

Officers stormed a residence in Phayao, Thailand, after receiving a tip-off about suspected drug use at the home of Netdao Saochan.

When police arrived for a search on Thursday, they reportedly heard someone scrambling away followed by frantic flushing noises in the bathroom. Netdao then opened the door, visibly flustered as she greeted the cops.

A quick search of the premises turned up nothing. However, Netdao soon confessed to flushing away her meth stash after being grilled by the investigators.

Footage shows police prising open the septic tank outside the house. Nearly gagging from the stench, they retrieved a plastic bag w packed with narcotics floating in the sewage. Inside were 103 methamphetamine pills.

Police Captain Narinthorn Kanta of Chiang Kham district station said: 'During questioning, the suspect admitted to possessing the methamphetamine pills and confessed to having used them previously. Urine tests from both the test kit and Chiang Kham Hospital confirmed the results were positive.'

Netdao was reportedly charged for illegal possession and use of Category I narcotics.

Meth is classified as a category 1 substance in Thailand.

Under Thai law, using category 1 substances may be punished with up to three years in jail and a fine of up to 60,000 baht, while possession carries a fine of up to 200,000 baht and up to 10 years imprisonment.

Those convicted of dealing may face life imprisonment and a five million baht fine, depending on the amount involved. Producers, importers, and exporters of Category 1 substances face the same charges and may face the death penalty if it is proven their intent was to sell or distribute on a large scale.
