US, Los Angeles: South Park Pursuit Of Shooting And Assault With Deadly Weapon On Officer Suspect
Los Angeles, United States - September 27, 2025 09/27/2025 01:00 am GMT-0700 SOUTH PARK, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles Police Department's Newton Division units responded to a report of a shooting in the 5900 block of Towne Avenue. The call indicated a suspect was in a black Hummer. Officers arrived in the area and spotted the fleeing Hummer, prompting a pursuit. During the chase, the suspect struck an LAPD unit, which constituted assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer. The pursuit circled the vicinity of Slauson Avenue and Towne Avenue before it ended when the Hummer broke down. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
