The driver, around 55 years old, was alone in an EcoSport that overturned while going down a slope.

Witnesses reported that the driver appeared to be intoxicated at the time of the incident. He was pulled out of the car by locals before the arrival of the Military Police, who were called by people who witnessed the case. The accident happened between the city of Macaúbas and the village of Contendas, in Bahia, Brazil.

Despite the scare, the man survived and was assisted at the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash, and the case reignited debates among residents about the risks of driving under the influence and the dangers of the region’s roads.
