The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 68,519, with 170,382 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on Oct 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Saturday. In the past 24 hours, hospitals across the enclave had received 19 deceased and seven injured, and 15 bodies were recovered, the statement added. The first phase of the Israel-Hamas ceasefire agreement, which took effect on Oct 10, includes the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza City, Rafah, Khan Younis and northern Gaza, the exchange of hostages and prisoners, and the reopening of five crossings for humanitarian aid. Despite the ceasefire, at least 93 Palestinians have been killed and 324 wounded in Gaza since Oct 11, according to the health authorities. Shotlist: Gaza City, Gaza Strip - Oct 20, 2025: 1.
