This is the dramatic moment homes were dragged into a river by a landslide in Vietnam, where heavy rain has triggered floods that have killed at least 13 people.

Footage shows the structures collapsing into the fast-flowing river swollen from recent downpours in the My Hoa Hung district of An Giang on Wednesday.

Officials said the landslide swept away a wooden bridge, and a grocery store collapsed into the river along with eight homes.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment said the rising river level from heavy rain had put extra pressure on the riverbank, causing it to collapse.

Dang Tan Loc, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Hoa Hung commune, said: 'Currently, the above area is at risk of continuing to slide deep into the land and around the house area of households.

'The Commune People's Committee cooperates with the Commune People's Committee to continue to mobilise people in areas at risk of landslides to relocate to a safe place to ensure people's lives and property.'

In central Vietnam, the death toll from floods had risen to 11 on Friday. The government said 13 people remained missing.
