BACAYAN, CEBU PROVINCE, PHILIPPINE - NOV. 6, 2025: Relatives and friends paid tribute to the victims who died when Typhoon Kalmaegi struck the country, as the number of deaths and missing combined exceeded 240 following heavy rains and strong winds brought by the powerful typhoon, in Philippines.

More than 500,000 people have been displaced, and more than 240 people have died or been missing after powerful typhoon Kalmaegi, also know as Tino made landfall on November 4 with torrential rains and powerful winds that caused flooding in several parts of the country, especially in Cebu and Leyte. It is the 20th typhoon hitting the Southeast Asian nation this year amid worsening global climate change. The typhoon is expected to head towards Vietnam.
