Phoenix, United States - November 10, 2025 11/10/2025 03:34 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Phoenix Fire Department was dispatched to the intersection of 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street for reports of a single-vehicle collision into a traffic pole. Fire crews arrived at the scene and located a sedan that had collided with a street light pole on the northeast corner of the intersection before catching fire. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and began tending to the injured occupants. A total of three patients were located and transported to local area hospitals with various injuries. According to Michael Runyon, who witnessed the crash, a disabled vehicle was partially blocking the intersection prior to the collision. The approaching sedan failed to notice the disabled vehicle until the last second, when they swerved to avoid the disabled car and collided with the pole. The disabled vehicle was started and left the area shortly after the crash. Police had temporarily restricted several lanes at the intersection as they worked to remove the vehicle from the pole.
