This is the dramatic moment agricultural drones were deployed to rescue locals stranded in floods in Vietnam.

Pham Van Truong, 44, and Ha Van Anh, 45, were fishing on the Krong Pak River when their dinghy capsized from the turbulent water in Dak Lak Province.

The incident prompted nearby residents to contact police, and authorities conducted a night-long search on November 21.

Pham Van Truong was discovered near the C7 Bridge area in Ea O Commune.

In a race against time to save the stranded angler, Hoang Van Thien, the owner of the drone, immediately piloted the device to assist the rescue.

Footage shows the unmanned aerial vehicle carrying Pham Van Truong, who is wearing a life vest.

Local media reported that the man had safely landed ashore, but his friend, Ha Van Anh, remains missing.

The search and rescue operation is still ongoing.

Authorities urge residents in affected areas to evacuate immediately and to strictly avoid all riverbanks and flood-prone waterways.

Local media reported that the country has been experiencing severe flash floods due to severe and prolonged rainfall across the Central Region and Central Highlands.

The death toll has tragically risen, with at least 102 people dead and others missing across the affected provinces. Over 200,000 houses were flooded, and more than 119,000 individuals were evacuated to safety.
