Los Angeles, United States - November 26, 2025 11/26/2025 01:00 am GMT-0800 LONG BEACH, Calif. – A barricaded suspect was taken into custody Wednesday morning after Long Beach Police Department SWAT officers deployed a large flash bang into an apartment near Fifth Street and Magnolia Avenue. Police had responded earlier in the morning after initial reports indicated a man was believed to be armed inside the apartment complex. A heavy police and SWAT presence surrounded the building, and roads in the area were closed as officers worked to detain the man. Evacuations of the complex were also underway, according to initial reports. Residents nearby say the incident began around 11 p.m. Tuesday. It was not immediately clear whether anyone had been injured. The investigation is ongoing, and details remain limited.
