[Voiceover] Over 40-percent of scheduled flights from China to Japan in December have been canceled. That's about 1,900 flights. Chinese cruise operator Adora has adjusted its December itinerary to bypass several Japanese ports. It has also canceled all Japanese port calls for the first quarter of next year. Recently, businesses across Japan have reported a significant drop in Chinese tourists, with group tours canceled and revenue declining. Industry insiders warn that if the situation persists through the Spring Festival holiday in February, the impact could escalate further. [Soundbite] Hotel employee: "Ever since our hotel opened in 2018, we have relied heavily on guests from China. Even before gaining domestic recognition, Chinese visitors made up 20 to 30 percent of our customer base. The recent wave of cancellations is deeply concerning. For Okinawa's tourism industry, both group and individual travelers from China were highly anticipated. The current situation is really worrying." [Soundbite] Kimiharu Sakamoto, vice president, Okinawa Resorts Division: "Cruise tourism is vital for Okinawa. Our biggest concern is that if this continues into January and February next year, the impact could reach tens of thousands of people. These months are traditionally off-season here, and Chinese tourists are especially important to us during this period. If they stop coming, the blow to our business will be severe."
