Mud-Filled Home After Severe Floods in Samalanga, Bireuen, Aceh
This video shows the aftermath of devastating flooding in Namploh Baro Village, Samalanga District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh, Indonesia. Floodwaters surged up to approximately 170 centimeters (5.5 feet) inside one resident’s home, leaving behind a thick layer of mud around 30 centimeters (12 inches) deep once the water receded.
The footage captures the severe impact on the interior of the house — furniture displaced, belongings buried in mud, and walls marked by the high-water level. A resident is seen cleaning out the mud, working tirelessly to restore what remains of their home after the disaster.
The flood has significantly disrupted daily life in the area, with many families struggling to recover from property damage and heavy sediment deposits caused by the disaster.
