Los Angeles, United States - December 08, 2025 12/07/2025 10:21 pm GMT-0800 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – A violent head-on collision overnight sent at least two people to trauma centers and led firefighters to an unexpected weapons discovery deep in the Angeles National Forest. The crash was reported at 10:21 p.m. along the 35100 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road, just north of Los Angeles County Fire Camp 14. Multiple 911 callers reported that at least one person was trapped inside a mangled vehicle — a detail firefighters confirmed upon arrival. Rescue crews worked to free the occupants before ambulances transported two patients to area trauma centers. As firefighters cut into the trunk of one of the vehicles during the operation, they discovered two metal ammunition storage containers holding handguns, rifles and tactical gear. The find is shown three minutes into the video above, captured by Key News Network. The find prompted California Highway Patrol officers to secure the weapons cache. CHP investigators continue to piece together what led to the head-on impact on the narrow mountain roadway. The condition of the injured patients was not immediately available.
