This is the shocking moment a woman, dressed in white, ended up covered in mud after a bus pulled away and dragged her down the street.

Dashcam footage shows the commuter standing by the rear of the auto as she waits to board, when the public transit vehicle suddenly accelerates on the road at the Stara Zagora stop in Samara Oblast, Russia.

The traveller can be seen tumbling onto the muddy roadside asphalt as the bus continued to move on December 6.

She was then dragged along after her coat became caught in the closed sliding doors, but she managed to free herself from the panels.

Pedestrians rushed to help her stand up and check on her.

The woman reportedly did not sustain any life-threatening injuries.

The operating company SamaraAvtoGaz said it had launched an internal investigation into the incident.
