Bomb squad, arson investigators and crime lab techs combed through the wreckage of a burned-out home believed by authorities to have possibly been set on fire by one of its occupants Saturday afternoon. The fire was first reported shortly after 1 p.m. in the 29100 block of Flowerpark Drive. According to witnesses at the scene, a man believed to have been inside the home at the time allegedly started the fire intentionally. Those witnesses declined to be interviewed on camera. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies remained on scene Saturday with weapons drawn as Los Angeles County Fire Department crews began their fire attack, operating from nearby homes due to safety concerns. Heavy smoke was seen rising from the residence as flames continued to burn. As of the latest update, the man reportedly involved had not been located. The investigation remains active, with deputies and firefighters maintaining a coordinated response while processing the fire’s aftermath. No additional details were immediately available.
