(ending with shot 6): "If traditional maintenance can be likened to medical treatment, it means fixing only what is broken. That merely brings the machine back to a barely operational state. What we provide is a level of repair akin to rebirth and regeneration. Our facility is designed with eight main functional areas. When an old engine arrives here, it is first disassembled into its smallest components. After thorough cleaning and comprehensive inspections to identify potential issues and risks, the parts are then processed and repaired. Finally, through assembly and digital verification, we ensure that our products achieve a quality and performance comparable to brand-new units from the manufacturer. Additionally, we utilize industry-leading processes that comply with environmental standards. At the finished product area, you can see an engine that we previously repaired domestically. When compared side by side, it looks just like a new one. This is why we are confident in offering comprehensive after-sales services to clients worldwide." [SHOT OVERLAYING SOUNDBITE] 5. Aerial shots of Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Storyline A repair factory in Hainan is currently conducting maintenance on its first batch of bonded goods since China's launch on Thursday of island-wide special customs operations in the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP), the world's largest FTP by area. CRRC International Vehicle Industry (Hainan) Co., Ltd., under China General Technology (Group) Holding Co., Ltd. is now repairing specifically four diesel engines that have arrived on site from German and Malaysian mining trucks. After the goods arrived in the Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, the Macungang Customs carried out an on-site inspection and audit. Subsequently, repair workers disassembled the engines. The maintenance operation on bonded products marks a significant milestone, and is the first time such activities have been permitted in China. It involves goods that originate abroad and must be returned to foreign markets after repair. During maintenance, imported components required for repairs are exempt from tariffs. Additionally, these products are not allowed to circulate or be used within China. In addition to the policy advantages of the Hainan FTP, such maintenance services offered here also present technical, time, and cost efficiencies. The head of the maintenance team explained that, given the vast domestic market, repair workers have extensive experiences. For example, many technicians in this company's repair team have over 10 years of experience, which contributes to their high efficiency. He also noted that if the entire factory is fully operational, they can complete engine repair in as little as one week, whereas the repair cycle abroad can take up to two months or longer. Also, there are significant advantages in maintenance and repair costs. Thanks to the duty-free policy, imported components required for repairs are exempt from tariffs. In addition to these advantages, the company also offers comprehensive after-sales services following bonded maintenance in Hainan.
