CCTV footage shows a group of youngsters gliding around a crowded rink in Sichuan, China, on October 11.

One man in black can be seen holding hands with a friend as they manoeuvre around a winding curve.

Suddenly, he loses his balance and crashes onto the rink, accidentally kicking a teenage girl behind him as he falls.

The pair plunged onto their backs from the force of the impact.

The teenager immediately stood up to check on the girl, who appeared to have been knocked unconscious.

Other concerned skaters quickly gathered to help, directing the rest of the pack away from the victim as she lay on her side.
