This is the amusing moment a cheeky cat was spotted hauling a fish across a walkway.

A pedestrian was strolling through a park when he spotted the black-and-white feline with its jaws clamped firmly onto the oversized, gutted fish in Jiangsu, China.

Footage shows the determined moggy ambling along the path, visibly straining to carry the heavy fish on December 19.

As the feline moved forward, it repeatedly glanced over its shoulder, appearing cautious and alert, as if worried a rival might swoop in to steal its hard-earned feast.

After navigating a set of steps, the cat briefly paused to drop its catch and adjust its grip before continuing its steady getaway.

An onlooker said: 'I was stunned to see a cat just casually wandering around with such a huge fish. It's certainly not something you see every day.'
