Phoenix, United States - June 28, 2025 06/28/2025 01:40 am GMT-0700 AVONDALE, Ariz. – Avondale police, Phoenix police, and fire crews from Avondale, Goodyear, and Phoenix responded to reports of a fiery single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Buckeye Road and Dysart Road. Per PD at the scene, the vehicle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and collided with a business. The vehicle burst into flames with two occupants inside. The two occupants were removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with severe burn injuries. Firefighters upgraded the incident to a 1st alarm assignment as flames from the burning vehicle began to spread to the business. Several additional fire department resources from various West Valley agencies responded to assist in extinguishing the fire. Avondale Police stated that the Phoenix Police Department is taking command of the crash investigation, and Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes Unit detectives have been dispatched to the scene. The collision resulted in a hard closure for Buckeye Road (Main Street) and Dysart Road.
